BACOLOD City – A 17-year-old boy was found dead in Barangay Salvacion, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The boy committed suicide by hanging, the Murcia police station said, citing investigation.
His body was found hanging in a bedroom in his grandmother’s house at around 10:30 a.m. on April 12.
It was already in a state of decomposition, police said.
According to the police, the boy was last seen alive at around 3 p.m. on April 10 when he locked himself in the bedroom.
From what the investigators have so far gathered, the boy was extremely lonely and wanted to be with his brothers and sisters.
It was not immediately clear where his siblings were.
The body was taken to a local mortuary for a postmortem examination, police said./PN
