ILOILO – A four-year-old boy crossing the road in Barangay Mapili, San Enrique town got injured. A motorcycle hit him.
Steve Palabrica was taken to a hospital in Passi City for treatment of his head injuries.
The accident happened at around 5:50 p.m. on Jan. 3.
The boy was with his mother crossing the road.
The mother was unhurt.
The motorcycle driver, 41-year-old Ronel Dela Cruz of Barangay Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, was detained at the San Enrique police station. He vowed to shoulder the boy’s hospital bills.
In another vehicular accident also on Jan. 3, a four-year-old boy died. Jhazer Prince Chavez got hit by a Toyota Hilux in Barangay Anoring, Sara town around 7:50 a.m.
Chavez was crossing the road. He died while being rushed to the district hospital in Sara.
The Hilux driver, 42-year-old Roger Neil Lopez, was a resident of Barangay Bagacay, San Dionisio town. He was detained at the Sara police station.
