BACOLOD City – While celebrating the feast of Saint John the Baptist on June 24, a nine-year-old boy drowned in a river in Purok Panacmalan, Barangay East, Candoni, Negros Occidental.
The police station withheld the boy’s name but said he was from the town’s Barangay West.
It was around 10:35 a.m. when the boy was found adrift.
He was rushed to the rural health clinic where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”/PN
