ILOILO CITY – A 17-year-old Grade 12 student drowned at the waters in Fort San Pedro, City Proper district around 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22.
Police said alias “Joric,” a resident of Dueñas, Iloilo, went swimming with his friends.
The victim’s body was recovered by the search and rescue team after around an hour.
According to the Iloilo City Police Station 1, Joric was brought to St. Paul’s Hospital of Iloilo.
He died while receiving treatment at around 11:46 a.m. of the same day, said Dr. Gisela Pelayo Valencia, the attending physician./PN
