Boy not ‘gang raped’ – Molo police

ILOILO City – It was not a gang rape, according to Molo district police chief, Major Engilbert Banquillo, referring to a 16-year-old boy’s initial claim that he was sexually abused by eight  homosexual friends.

According to Banquillo, the boy formally submitted an affidavit yesterday and clarified that only three persons abused him during a drinking binge at a friend’s house in Barangay Calumpang, Molo on Aug. 25.

The three persons were the friend who invited him, a minor and a gay, according to the boy who also presented a witness to back him up.

“Based on the victim’s signed affidavit, four of them had a drinking spree, and there was no rape. He was merely bitten by the gay while the two others touched his body,” said Banquillo.

A complaint for acts of lasciviousness will be filed today, Sept. 9, against the three persons before the City Prosecutor’s Office, said the police chief.

The boy initially told his mother eight homosexuals raped him while he was dead drunk at a friend’s house on the night of Aug. 25.

When he went home around 6 p.m. the next day, the boy claimed he was already naked when he regained consciousness. He told his mother he was drugged./PN
