THE Bread and Butter Bakeshop, the fastest growing bakeshop in Central Philippines, has celebrated this year’s Pineapple Festival showcasing its pineapple-flavored bread and pastries.
The Pineapple Festival was held in consonance with the Aklan’s 63rd founding anniversary celebration.
Prior to the pineapple Festival, a campaign in social media has been undertaken and several facebook users were given a taste of several Pineapple flavoured breads.
During the week long anniversary celebration, a Bread and Butter booth was exhibited at the Trade Hall of the Provincial Capitol.
The exhibition of booth along with several others was organized by the Department of Trade and Industry headed by provincial director Carmen Ituralde.
Present in the event were: Department of Trade and Industry 6 Regional Director Rebecca Rascon, Provincial Director Diosdado P. Cadena Jr, Regional Tourism Officer Helen Catalbas, Governor Florencio T. Miraflores, Vice Governor Boy Quimpo and his wife Billie Venus Quimpo, SP Soviet Russia Dela Cruz and a representative in behalf of Congressman Carlito Samson Marquez.
This event was part of 63rd Aklan Day Celebration after taking its independence from Capiz last April 25, 1955.
The said event was participated of 78 exhibitors showcasing the Aklan Pina & Fiber Industry enrich with Aklanon heritage and culture, locally made furniture’s and crafts, fashion materials, delicious food and delicacy products, horticulture and agricultural products of Aklan Micro, Small, Medium enterprises (SMEs) with participations of 17 One Town One Product (OTOP) municipalities and several government agencies.
