ROXAS City – This city’s Anti-COVID-19 Task Force has sought the help of the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) in this city.
Cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are increasing. On April 14, 13 new cases were recorded, bringing to 52 the city’s active cases.
The task force urged punong barangays to ensure the strict implementation of health protocols and other measures outlined in Executive Order (EO) No.10-A of Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
Inbound travelers from Romblon, Masbate and other island provinces which do not have negative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results shall be required to undergo such test at their own expense upon arrival.
All beaches and restaurants are allowed to operate but at 50 percent capacity only. Swimming in public places is strictly prohibited.
Dadivas also temporarily banned basketball games.
Other activities prohibited were karaoke and band singing in commercial establishments as well as parties and celebrations in public places.
For weddings and funerals, only 15 and 10 persons, respectively, are allowed to attend.
Wakes/vigils for the dead shall only be allowed for a maximum of five days except for COVID-19 cases which require immediate burial.
All passenger vehicles can operate but at 50 percent of their seating capacity.
The curfew is from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Dadivas also made compulsory the wearing of facemask and face shield in markets, transport terminals and other public places.
Restaurants are prohibited to serve in a buffet setup.
Only hotels or accommodation establishments with valid accreditation from the Department of Tourism are allowed to operate.
Government offices may operate at full capacity or under alternative work arrangements./PN
