BACOLOD City – This city’s Barangay Granada was declared grand champion in MassKara Festival 2023 street and arena dance competition for the second straight year.
Besting nine other participating villages, Granada took home P1 million cash prize last night. It also bagged the Best in Mask and Costume, Best in Theme/Concept and Best in Music special awards, with P25,000 cash prize each.
Barangay Granada also previously won the 2014, 2015 and 2016 streetdance competitions.
Other winners are the following:
* first runner-up – Barangay Tangub (P500,000 cash prize money)
* second runner-up – Barangay Sum-ag (P300,000 cash prize)
Barangay Sum-ag also won the Best Introduction Video and P25,000 cash prize.
Meanwhile, Barangay 19 was the champion of this year’s Electric MassKara. Barangay 17 was the first runner-up and Barangay 12 was the second runner-up. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
