ILOILO City – Police arrested a barangay health worker in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tanza Gua, Roxas City, Capiz.
Eight grams of suspected shabu contained in 11 sachets were seized from resident Elvie Albaladejo, a police report showed.
Joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Capiz and police force of Roxas City staged the Sept. 28 operation, which also led to the arrest of Albaladejo’s alleged cohort Amando Anonat.
Aside from suspected shabu, marked money and drug paraphernalia were also seized.
The suspects were detained in the lockup facility of the Roxas City police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (With a report from PDEA-6/PN)
