ILOILO City – A barangay tanod caught a man buying suspected shabu Monday morning in Barangay Tanza Timawa II, City Proper.
Rodrigo Gentapao brought Venly Maigue to the Police Station 1.
Maigue – resident of Barangay Baldoza, La Paz district – was a construction maintenance personnel of the city government’s Engineering Office.
“Ga-roving kami sang na kita namun ang drug suspect nga may ka-transaction kag gin sita ko siya,” Gentapao said.
After the confrontation, Maigue allegedly threw a sachet of the prohibited substance on the ground.
“Pagkita ko ka sachet nga gin haboy, wala ko nag duwa-duwa nga arestohun sa sya kay responsibilidad namon ina bilang tanod,” Gentapao said.
Maigue faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
