MANILA – Filipino-American cagers Jason Brickman, Jeremiah Gray and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser were among the early birds to submit their application for the 2021 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft.

The three former San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas teammates were among the first six players to throw their names for the annual rookie selection proceedings set on March 14 next year.

The 29-year-old Brickman is easily the most famed of the three applicants as he was ranked fourth in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I’s career assists list while still playing with the LIU Brooklyn.

The five-foot-10 Brickman spent the past few seasons in the ASEAN Basketball League, winning a championship at Westports Malaysia Dragons. He also played for the Mono Vampire in Thailand and Alab Pilipinas.

Brickman averaged 8.9 points on 45-percent shooting, to go with 9.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 steals this past ABL season with the Alab Pilipinas before the season’s cancelation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 24-year-old Gray, meanwhile, is a six-foot-six prospect who is arguably one of the most athletic in this year’s class. The Dominican University of California standout posted 8.4 points, 3.9 boards, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 blocks in his lone season with Alab.

The 26-year-old Ganuelas-Rosser was a former player with UC Riverside. The brother of San Miguel Beermen forward Matthew Ganuelas-Rosser normed 4.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in his second year with Alab.

Apart from the aforementioned cagers, Andre Paras also submitted his application for the next draft.

Completing the list of early draft entrants are five-foot-eight guard Matthew Kyle Sanchez of San Beda and five-foot-eight playmaker Shem Kenneth Magallanes from Caybiga High School./PN
