Festive Walk Iloilo celebrates Ilonggo arts and culture this holiday season.
ILOILO BUSINESS PARK makes the City of Love shimmer with over 1.5 million lights now illuminating the 72-hectare township, making this year the brightest Christmas celebration in Iloilo. Guests now enjoy a merry and jovial atmosphere with bright lights, decorations, and holiday cheer all day long.
At the center of this year’s Christmas festivities is lifestyle center Festive Walk Iloilo. Aside from hosting Kasadyahan sa Festive Walk Iloilo, the official lighting ceremony, the lifestyle mall is also featuring three new main attractions.
These include Dagway sang Paglaum: The Face of Hope or the Cradle of Bloom, which are life size flower installations that symbolize Ilonggos’ resilience amid challenges and can be found in all mall entrances.
The Cathedral of Candles or Saad: The Vow, located at the mall’s third floor Bridgelink, takes inspiration from the Jaro Cathedral and signifies devotional and thanksgiving.
Meanwhile, the Bugana: Northern Abundance Exhibit, located at the Mall Atrium, will celebrate and pay tribute to Visayan wild animals such Singgarong or Civet Cat, Wild Warty Pigs and various fish species as symbols of abundance.
Festive Experiences
As a champion of Ilonggo artistry, Festive Walk Iloilo has partnered with the City of Iloilo and the Iloilo Arts Festival organization to open the Iloilo Art Pop-Up studio this holiday season, featuring the works of over 180 visual artists. With this collaboration, creatives will have a free venue to display their artworks which can help them boost their careers. Weekly activities like painting workshops, live entertainment, and more shows will also be mounted as part of the project. The Iloilo Art Pop-up Studio will be open until January 30.
K Town, the first Korean themed destination in Iloilo City, will hold the K-Town Year End Party to celebrate with the Ilonggo-Korean community at the Festive Walk Parade. In partnership with the Iloilo Korean Association, guests can look forward to performances, dance competitions, and of course an abundance of delicious Korean and local dishes.
A long-time collaborator of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCI) Iloilo Chapter, Festive Walk Iloilo will become a venue for the PCCI – Fresh Finds Fair for the holiday season. The fair will highlight a wide array of products from Ilonggo MSMEs and local entrepreneurs.
Mall-goers will also get to enjoy month-long Christmas Fairs with a variety of homegrown products and food offerings from local exhibitors.
Arts and Entertainment
Amaze in a presentation of world-class ballet performances from Claravall Gonzalez School of Classical Ballet and PCD School of Performing Arts. The schools
will be performing a collection of dances in classical, neoclassical, hip hop and others at the Garden Atrium.
Bring the kids to see Santa! Children will delight in interacting with Santa Claus
and other friendly mascots in a Santa Meet and Greet event in December
