BACOLOD City – Two brothers who were suspects in a shooting in Barangay Mahalang, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on Oct. 14, 2020 wounding a father and killing his four-year-old son were arrested.

The 27-year-old Jaker Dela Torre and 31-year-old elder brother Jay-Ar were residents of Sitio Wayang, Barangay 3, Himamaylan City. Elements of the Himamaylan City police station served them arrest warrants at their house on Feb. 9.

The warrants of arrest were for murder in relation to Republic Act 7610 and attempted murder in criminal case No.21-4850-HC issued on Feb. 3, 2021 by Presiding Judge Walter Zorilla of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 56 in Himamaylan City.

The court set no bail for the murder case. For the attempted murder case, however, it set the bail at P120,000.

The brothers were taken to the Himamaylan City police station.
