ILOILO City – Two brothers were shot dead in Barangay San Florentino, San Rafael, Iloilo.
Ronald Lagatoc, 27, and brother Reynold, 26, died of multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday morning.
No suspect has so far been identified, said Senior Inspector Danilo Delos Santos, San Rafael police chief.
A12-gauge shotgun was used on the victims, said Delos Santos.
The Lagatoc brothers were on their way home walking when attacked around 10:35 a.m.
“The victims had no criminal record. They were laborers and were never involved in any trouble in their village,” said Delos Santos.
But the shooting appeared to have been planned, he added.
There could be more than one killers, said Delos Santos.
“We will not stop investigating this until we have identified the assailants and arrested them,” said Delos Santos./PN
