ILOILO City – An illegal gambling charge may be slapped against two brothers and their uncle.
Brothers Marlex and Alex Moreno and uncle Romero Deslate – all residents of Barangay Santo Rosario-Duran, City Proper – were arrested in the village on Sunday.
They were caught playing a card game at around 4:55 p.m., a police report stated.
A deck of playing cards and P57 worth of suspected bet money were seized from them, police said.
The Morenos and Deslate were detained at Police Station 1.
They may be charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties for illegal gambling./PN
