ILOILO City – Government antidrug agents arrested two suspected pushers during a buy-bust operation at the Jaro Plaza.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified Jeff Jiz De Ortega, 40, of Ana Rose Village, Mandurriao district and Ma. Angela Templa, 27, of Barangay Balabago, Jaro as suspected members of the Prevendido drug group.

The Prevendido drug group was led by Richard “Buang” Prevendido, who was shot and killed during a police operation on Sept. 1 last year in Barangay Balabago, Jaro.

Police said the suspects yielded two sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 7 grams and with a market value of P35,000.

Further seized from them were assorted drug paraphernalia and a Tamaraw FX Revo (registration plate number FEJ-834).

De Ortega and Templa were hauled to the PDEA Region 6 detention facility after their arrest at around 1:20 a.m. on Saturday.

They face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
