MILWAUKEE Bucks recovered from 23-point deficit to pull off a 130-116 victory over Miami Heat in the restart of the 2019-2020 NBA season on Thursday night (Friday in the Philippines) at Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Florida.
Khris Middleton drained five triples and finished with 33 points, while Giannis Antetokounmpo also ended up with 33 points as the Bucks sealed the no. 1 seat in Eastern Conference with 55-14 record.
Down by as much as 23 points in the opening half, the Bucks slowly clawed its way back in the third quarter to come to within six points but a three-pointer by Heat’s Andre Iguodala increased the lead to nine.
Milwaukee then answered back with 13 straight points despite Antetokounmpo sitting out due to foul trouble to seize a 107-103 advantage on a triple by Eric Bledsoe.
The Heat regained the lead for the last time at 111-110 before the Bucks went on a 20-0 rampage, highlighted by three dunks from Antetokounmpo, to build a 130-111 advantage.
Meanwhile, Phoenix Suns stayed undefeated in the bubble with a 114-99 rout of Indiana Pacers. Deandre Ayton had double-double 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Despite winning all of their matches since the NBA restart, the Suns were still far behind from eighth place in the Western Conference playoffs race with its 30-39 record./PN
