Bucks, Lakers progress to 2nd round of NBA playoffs

LOS Angeles Lakers blasted Portland Trail Blazers in Game 5 on Saturday night , 131-122, to progress to the second round of the 2019-2020 National Basketball Association playoffs (Western Conference).

The score was tied at 109-all before the Lakers unloaded a 20-7 blast behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis to close the best-of-seven series, 4-1.

Davis finished the match with 43 points, nine rebounds and four assists while James ended up with 36 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Eastern Conference top seed Milwaukee Bucks also made it to the second round of the playoffs after slamming Orlando Magic in Game 5, 118-104.

Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 28 points and 17 rebounds while Chris Middleton scored 21 markers and 10 boards for the Bucks.

Milwaukee will clash with Miami Heat in the next round.

Houston Rockets, on the other hand, is one step away from joining the second stage of the playoffs (Western Conference) after defeating Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5, 118-104. James Harden dropped 31 points while Robert Covington registered 22 markers for Houston.
