GUIMARAS – Charged with estafa, a man was arresged in Barangay New Poblacion, Buenavista town.
The 49-year-old Louie Cartel of Barangay Rizal, Buenavista was caught on the strength of a warrant of arrest around 1 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
The warrant was issued by Judge Rosario Abigail Dris-Villanueva of the Regional Trial Court Branch 65 in Barangay San Miguel, Jordan town on June 19.
Cartel was detained at the Buenavista police station lockup facility.
A P20,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Man caught for violence vs women, children
KALIBO, Aklan – Police arrested a man accused of violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, in Barangay Poblacion, Numancia, Aklan.
The 39-year-old Barangay Libas, Banga, Aklan resident Fedel Aurigue was caught around 8:45 a.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
Aurigue faces Criminal Case No. 33-1303-2012 before the Regional Trial Court Branch 33 in Ballesteros, Cagayan.
Judge Francisco Donato issued Aurigue a warrant of arrest on Sept. 12, 2012 in relation to the criminal charge.
Aurigue was detained at the Numancia police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P40,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Escalante ‘pusher’ falls in drug bust
BACOLOD City – He allegedly sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Udtungan, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
The 36-year-old Lloyd Sabordo of Barangay Langub, Escalante City was caught in a drug buy-bust operation around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 4, a police report showed.
Recovered from Sabordo’s possession were four sachets of suspected shabu including the buy-bust item and P200 marked money.
Police also impounded Sabordo’s Raider 150 motorcycle.
Sabordo was detained at the Escalante City police station lockup facility.
He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
