ANTIQUE – For employees and residents to witness the Bugas sa Lusong Festival, Mayor John Lloyd Pacete ordered a temporary suspension of office transactions in the local government unit (LGU) of Bugasong, Antique, starting today, Jan. 17, until Jan. 18, 2023.
Pacete issued Administrative Order No. 001, for this, noting that “by tradition and community significance, the municipality is celebrating its annual cultural and devotional events every Jan. 17-18 every year.”
It added: “To give every Bugasongnon the opportunity to cater to both tradition and social obligations, suspension of office transactions on Jan. 17-18, 2023 becomes congruent to the powers of the LGU anent thereat”.
For private institutions meanwhile, Pacete has given their respective officials, heads or management the discretion.

* Jan. 18 – Holy Mass, Panguyang, Linas-Kumpas, and Body Tattoo Dance Contest
