MANILA – San Sebastian College Stags rode on Allyn Bulanadi’s torrid shooting and bested the University of Perpetual Help Altas, 99-94, at the close of the NCAA 95 men’s basketball eliminations at the San Juan Arena.

Bulanadi was on point with his shooting. He finished with a career-high 44 points as the Stags claimed the last Final Four seat by improving to 11-7 win-loss record.

Behind Bulanadi’s hot offense, the Stags were on the lead for majority part of the match until the Altas made a game out of it and even tied the tally at 88-all inside the last three minutes.

Bulanadi steadied the ship for the Stags. He unloaded five straight points for a 93-88 edge.

The Altas made its last push with under two minutes but Bulanadi answered with timely shots to ice the victory.

“Allyn is ready for the big league. He’s proven it already many times,” Stags head coach Egay Macaraya said of his prized ward who also totaled eight rebounds and four assists all while shooting 14-of-26 from the field and 9-of-9 from the line.

With the outcome, the playoff cast is now complete with the four-seed Golden Stags waging war with three-seed Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights in the first phase of the stepladder playoffs on Nov. 5.

No. 2 ranked Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates then awaits the winner from there while top-seed and undefeated San Beda University Red Lions is already in the finals./PN
