Burglars take over P73,000 worth of valuables from Aklan home

AKLAN – An unidentified group of thieves broke into a residence in Barangay Tabayon, Banga, Aklan on Saturday, February 8, carting away valuables worth over P73,000 and other items.

The owner Kimberly Lumbres revealed that their house was unoccupied during the incident. She explained that her grandmother was confined at a hospital, and she herself was in Manila at the time.

According to initial reports of Banga Municipal Police Station (MPS), Lumbres received a call from her family about the break-in after discovering the kitchen door left ajar and household items scattered across two bedrooms.

Police said among the stolen items were P73,000 worth of jewelry, half a sack of rice, an air fryer, and a coin bank containing approximately P400.

The Banga MPS launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators./PN
