Bus driver accuses cop of gun-toting

ILOILO – A police officer assigned at the Iloilo Airport could face administrative and criminal charges. He was accused of gun-toting in Barangay Duyan-Duyan, Santa Barbara town.

Forty-year-old Police Senior Master Sergeant Marlon Ayson of Patnongon, Antique was complained by Leo Ladio, 46, of Barangay Malitbog, Calinog, a driver of a bus plying the Calinog-Iloilo route.

Heading to Calinog, Ladio said he dropped a passenger in Barangay Duyan-Duyan around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

He then saw the motorcycle-riding Ayson fall down in front of the bus.

Ayson reportedly poked a gun at Ladio.

Alarmed passengers disembarked from the bus.

Meanwhile, according to the police, the bus was running too fast that Ayson tumbled when he drove past it. He sustained bruises on the arms and feet.

Police Major Raymond Celoso, chief of the Santa Barbara police station, said they would assist the complainant in filing the case against the cop./PN
