ILOILO City – Ten passengers of a bus were hospitalized. The bus fell off the highway and landed on a ricefield in Barangay Zerrudo, Sara, Iloilo yesterday.
According to Patrolwoman Rey Ann Mamon of Sara police station, the accident happened at around 2 a.m.
The Ceres bus with body number 6030 was driven by Michael Biason. It was bound for Carles, Iloilo from Iloilo City.
Ten passengers sustained bruises. They were taken to the Sara District Hospital.
Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 6 director Roland Ramos reminded drivers to be “extra careful” and refrain from over speeding.
“We constantly remind drivers especially of public utility vehicles to drive safely,” Ramos said./PN
