BACOLOD City – A man was not as lucky as another after they met a road accident in Barangay San Jose, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
The 60-year-old Johnny Sarsona Jr. of Barangay To-oy, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental died, a police report showed.
Sarsona was on board a motorcycle that the 21-year-old Reggie Orquiales – also a resident of Barangay To-oy, Himamaylan City – was driving when they ran over sugarcane spillage near the unfinished Loreto Bridge around 2 p.m. on Saturday, the report further showed.
Sarsona and Orquiales fell on the concrete road, it added.
A Ceres bus with body number 54040 driven by Kabankalan City resident Randy Medel, 50, then approached them, running over Sarsona on the belly, police said.
Medel surrendered to the police and was detained at the Binalbagan police station custodial facility./PN
