ILOILO CITY — A village councilor was killed when an Elf truck crashed against a Ceres bus in Barangay Cabilauan, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo Thursday morning.
Police identified the casualty as 46-year-old Johnny Delariarte of Barangay Padios, Sara, Iloilo.
According to initial police investigation, Delalriarte lost control of his truck and crashed against the Ceres bus in the opposite lane driven by Roel Caguindangan of Concepcion, Iloilo around 8 a.m.
Caguindangan was rushed to a hospital while his 13 passengers were declared outpatients after sustaining minor injuries only.
Officials of the barangay believed that the area is accident prone as vehicle incidents often happen there./PN
