AKLAN – A passenger bus rammed a parked wing van in Barangay Feliciano, Balete town on Tuesday, July 16.
According to the Balete police station, the bus driven by 41-year-old Roberto Llarvez was on its way to the transport terminal in Barangay Estancia, Kalibo when it crashed against a parked wing van after overtaking a 10-wheeler truck.
Fourteen bus passengers were brought to the hospital. Eleven were later released while three others remained confined in the hospital.
Balete police added that the front right portion of the bus was wrecked while the back of the wing van sustained minor damage.
Llarvez was under the temporary custody of the Balete police station for 15 hours after the accident./PN
