Business as usual at Bacolod city hall after Bing’s defeat

BACOLOD City – The election defeat of incumbent Mayor Evelio Leonardia has not stopped him to work as the city’s chief executive – which is until noon of June 30.

It’s “business as usual ” at city hall, said City Administrator  Edward Joseph Cuansing.

In fact, he said, Leonardia issued Executive Order (EO) No. 24 on May 10 which created a post-election clean-up committee (PECUC).

The committee is tasked to immediately remove campaign materials from public spaces and coordinate with the presidents of the Liga ng mga Barangay and the Sangguniang Kabataan for a clean-up.

Leonardia, who chairs PECUC, also tasked members to inform private property owners about the cleanup.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran is the vice chairman. Cuansing is the action officer.

Completing the committee membership are Ma. Victorias Parreñas, acting secretary to the mayor; Engineer Aladino Agbones, city engineer; Gilda Lluisma, head, General Services Office; Ramil Palalon, officer-in-charge, Department of Public Services; Atty. Reuben Sabig, City Legal Office; and the Public Information Office./PN
