MANILA – Ilonggo guard Ferdinand “Thirdy” Ravena III of San-En NeoPhoenix will be seeing a busy schedule in the Japan B.League All-Star festivities slated on Jan. 17 at Adastria Mito Arena in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Aside from qualifying to the All-Star Game after garnering the highest votes under the Asian Players Quota, Ravena will also suit up in the midseason special’s slam dunk competition.

The former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles star ranked ninth among the guards, collecting 27,593 votes and was the only player from the NeoPhoenix to make it to the All-Star.

Among the starters for the B.White team were Kosuke Kanamaru of SeaHorses Mikawa, former San Miguel Beermen import Nick Fazekas and Ryusei Shinoyama of Kawasaki Brave Thunders, and Yuki Togashi and Sebas Saiz of Chiba Jets.

The rest of B.White team include Naoto Tsuji and Keisuke Masuda of Kawasaki, Gavin Edwards of Chiba, Avi Schafer of Mikawa, Jordan Taylor of Levanga Hokkaido, and Narito Namizato of Ryukyu Golden Kings.

Ravena just returned for the NeoPhoenix team over the weekend after being tested positive for COVID-19. He, however, struggled in San-En’s twin wins over Levanga Hokkaido./PN
