BACOLOD City – A resident of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental survived an attempt on his life.
La Carlota City police said Mitchell Iligan Sr., 47, and a resident of the city’s Barangay II, was shot several times by two unidentified gunmen who fled after.
Iligan, a butcher, was driving his motorcycle on his way to work at the city’s slaughterhouse when shot along San Agustin Street in Barangay I around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, police added.
Further investigation revealed that since the place of the incident was just a few meters away from the slaughterhouse, the victim crawled his way there to ask for help.
He sustained gunshot wounds and was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.
La Carlota City police said Iligan is in the list of the station’s drug surrenderees./PN
