ILOILO City – A pedicab driver subjected to a drug buy-bust operation by the La Paz police on Saturday, Dec. 10, managed to escape.
The suspect, Rolando Gonzales, was a 39-year-old resident of Zone 2, Barangay Rizal, La Paz district.
According to Police Major Jose Val Ladublan, chief of the La Paz police station, they will still file a complaint against Gonzales for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Gonzales was arrested in 2016 for illegal drug charges but was set free through a plea bargain, said Ladublan./PN
