BACOLOD City – Drug suspects were arrested in separate drug busts in this city and Negros Occidental on Friday.
In Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 here, Emil Nicolas, 54, and Cris Alicante were caught around 1:30 p.m. by an undercover police officer.
They yielded one small sachet and two elongated sachets of suspected shabu.
In Purok Paraiso and Purok Paradise, Barangay Rizal, Silay City, the following were busted around 11 a.m. on Friday: Benjie Donasco, 39; Jocelyn Pirlado Hechanova, 29; and Amir Zapra Apilan, 50.
According to the police, four elongated sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money and other drug paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects.
In Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental Joemarie Avelino Mangana, 45, was detained after one small heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu and one elongated sachet were seized from him.
In Sagay City, Johnson Andales, 30, was apprehended around 5 p.m. on Friday. Cops recovered from him five sachets of suspected shabu.
Meanwhile, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives cornered a drug pushing suspect in Purok Neptune, Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.
Sunny Hilado was from Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Intelligence Officer 2 Jose Ramir Patigas said Hilado’s two other companions escaped.
