Beau Belga ditching Rain or Shine?
BEAU Belga could be headed to another team before the start of the 2017-2018 PBA Philippine Cup on Dec. 17 after personally requesting Rain or Shine Elasto Painters to trade him.
A source told Buzzer Beater that Belga personally relayed his request to Painters head coach Carlos Garcia but the team has yet to come to terms with any team.
“Actually bago pa siya nag-request may balak na ang team na i-trade siya. Iyon nga lang parang walang kumakagat,” said the source. “Nag-aalangan kasi sila dahil maximum contract siya at iyong performance niya hindi consistent.”
“Kung mapapansin niyo iyong laro niya last season, akyat-baba. At saka may katamaran din siya sa court,” the source added. “Ibang-iba kumpara noong namumura pa siya ni coach Yeng Guiao.”
Among possible reasons for Belga’s request were the departure of former teammates Paul Lee, Jeff Chan and JR Quinahan and his lessened playing time due to the emergence of Raymond Almazan. The source did not say anything certain with regard to the motive.
Will the former Gilas Pilipinas practice player’s wish be granted, or will he have to wait for his contract to expire next year?

BLIND ITEM: During a sporting event where some of those who fought for the liberation in Marawi City were invited, a soldier was disappointed to personally see the attitude of an aging basketball star.
“Medyo na-off iyong sundalo sa inasal ni (basketball star) dahil habang pinapatugtog ang Lupang Hinirang ayon siya ngata ng ngata ng chewing gum,” said the source, who personally heard the sentiments of the soldier.
“Tapos noong tinawag na sila sa center court para palakpakan noong mga nanonood, sinubukang magpa-selfie ni sundalo kay player pero hinawi lang siya kaya doon na lang siya sa ibang players nagpa-picture.”
Reports about the attitude of the veteran player toward fans were nothing new. There were times when he would reportedly mock gay basketball fans with a “blowjob” gesture.
“Kung noon magmayabang si player given pa dahil kalakasan niya. Pero ngayong nagkakaedad na siya, siguro dapat magbago na siya,” the source said. “Ilang taon na lang mawawala na ang marka niya. Ilang taon na lang mawawalan na siya ng spark.”/PN
