CAREER move was reportedly the main reason why a popular basketball cager, who is known for his dazzling moves on the court, decided to end his relationship with a gay personality years ago.
A source told the Buzzer Beater that it was the basketball cager who decided to break up with a “gay personality” due to the latter’s actions that is affecting the career of the former.
The source said that the basketball cager does not have ill-feelings towards the “gay personality” and was in fact grateful for all the help the latter gave him when they were still in a relationship.
Former World Boxing Council (WBC) minimumweight title challenger Denver Cuello has shut down any possibility of a ring return this year as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury.
In an interview with the Buzzer Beater, the Cabatuan, Iloilo-native Cuello said he is currently undergoing therapy for his right shoulder injury and was advised not to fight until it is fully healed early next year.
“Sa totoo lang, excited na akong lumaban uli sa itaas ng ring pero inabisuhan tayo ng doctor na magpa-therapy muna, so ang pinaka-earliest na balik ko mga next year,” Cuello said.
Cuello was supposed to fight Mexican Saul Juarez for a world title eliminator early this year but was cancelled after re-injuring his right shoulder, which he first hurt three years ago.
Cuello, who is one of the boxers of Ilonggo promoter Aljoe Jaro, sustained a torn-rotator cuff on his right shoulder before his world title clash with Chinese boxer Chao Zhong Xiong in United Arab Emirates in June 2013.
Cuello was sidelined for almost a year after undergoing an operation to repair the torn tissue, same to the injury suffered by Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao during his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The 29-year-old Cuello has an impressive 36-5-6 win-loss-draw ring record, with 24 stoppage wins. The Ilonggo fighter is also on a three-game winning run since losing to Xiong in 2013./PN
