ILOILO City – The police station of Cabatuan, Iloilo was readying a complaint against a resident of Barangay Pamuringao for illegal gun possession.
The 40-year-old Rio Ontalinas was arrested after firing a .38 revolver on April 11. Fearful neighbors alerted the police.
Ontalinas was detained at the municipal police station around 9:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect was drunk and fired his gun thrice.
Aside from the .38 revolver, cops also seized a 12-gauge shotgun from Ontalinas.
The suspect faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. He did not have licenses for his guns./PN
