ILOILO City – A taxi driver and his two passengers were arrested in a joint buy-bust operation of the police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) outside a commercial shopping center in Barangay Ungka 2, Pavia, Iloilo at around 5 p.m. yesterday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Carlo Estorninos who was the subject of the operation was taken to the Pavia police station together with driver 46-year-old Jay Alejandro and 57-year-old Benjamin Supita.
Twenty-three sachets of suspected shabu were seized.
Operatives of the Pavia police station, Regional Force Mobile Battalion 6, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office and PDEA also recovered the P26,800 marked money used in the drug sting, plus an additional P4,020 cash.
