ILOILO – A 20-year-old man was declared “dead upon arrival” at the Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital after he was electrocuted in Barangay Cabugao Norte, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo at around 9:50 a.m. on Friday, June 9.
Val Engada Magarzo of Barangay Garang, Maasin, Iloilo was an internet provider lineman.
Police Major Jose Rey Pabalan, chief of the Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station (MPS), said in an interview with Panay News that the victim was on the roof of a gymnasium to install an internet connection when he accidentally touched an electric live wire.
