SAN JOSE, Antique – Regardless of their political leanings, newly elected barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials were assured of getting financial support from the provincial government.
Gov. Rhodora Cadiao said this on Monday – citing that the provincial government has funds from its internal revenue allocation and income from quarry permits, among others.
Cadiao stressed that these funds can be used for barangay and SK projects.
“Please come to my office,” said the governor, adding that all barangay and SK officials are welcome to discuss their concerns with her.
Cadiao said in the past weeks, she had been almost always out of her office at the capitol due to requests to administer oath-taking ceremonies in Antique.
The newly elected barangay and SK officials assumed office on June 30. (With a report from PNA/PN)
