BACOLOD City – The city government of Cadiz in Negros Occidental is allocating funds for healthcare workers infected with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. said the fund would provide frontliners and allied workers full hospitalization coverage.

Asymptomatic frontliners will also receive P50,000, said Escalante.
“A proposed ordinance for this will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod,” Escalante said.
Cadiz City experienced a spike in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.
However, Escalante said the city has no fatality as far as frontliners infected with the virus are concerned.
Cadiz has 10 new infected frontliners assigned at the St. Andrews Place Healing Center./PN
