BACOLOD City – Following months of closure due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the local government of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental is re-opening its park to the public.
The park’s resumption of operations effective March 12 was recommended by local stakeholders including the Cadiz City Inter-Agency Task Force, Peace and Order Council, Cadiz City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, and Liga ng mga Barangay,
According to Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., visitors are required to present their Cadiz Contact Tracing System quick response (QR) card upon entry.
They must also observe minimum health protocols such as wearing of facemasks and social distancing at all times.
Proper waste disposal must also be followed within the park’s premises.
Policemen of Cadiz City were tasked to ensure visitors’ compliance with basic health and safety protocols, the mayor added./PN
