BACOLOD City — Cadiz City sports officials lauded the Cadiz City West Elementary School’s (ES) performance in the Dynamic Football League 2nd Conference at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan here.

Cadiz City West registered its fourth straight win in Group A’s Under-13 category, beating Estefania ES, 4-1, to stay undefeated.

Bany John Sarabia, Cadiz sports coordinator, said Cadiz City West’s performance can be gauged by their dedication and discipline.

“The boys’ training by themselves in a makeshift football field at the reclamation area near the Dynamic Builders office,” Sarabia said.

They had to endure the dust in the area because there is no available football field in Cadiz, he added.

In other matches in Group A Under-13, St. John’s Institute (SJI) beat University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), 4-1, for the latter’s first loss too.

St. Scholastica’s Academy beat Bata ES, 5-2, to share the No. 2 spot in the bracket with UNO-R with three wins and one loss, while SJI and Himamaylan Central School were tied at No. 3 with 2-2.

Meanwhile, defending champion University of St. La Salle (USLS) defeated Bago City ES, 6-4, for the latter’s first loss in Group B.

USLS shared the top spot with Trinity Christian School and Don Bosco Technical Institute with a 2-0-2 win-loss-draw card.

Bago placed second in Group B with Moises Padilla with 2-1-1 cards.

Apolinario Mabini ES registered two wins and two losses after bowing to Don Bosco, 3-1. Sum-ag ES and La Consolacion College–Villasor remained winless.

In Under-11 category, Don Bosco claimed its fourth win at the expense of Bata ES, 5-0, to stay on top.

Trinity Christian School beat Montevista ES, 8-2, for the No. 2 spot, while Moises Padilla won over winless UNO-R, 6-2, and USLS and SJI ended their match in a scoreless draw./PN
