BACOLOD City – A member of the Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit was stabbed to death in Barangay San Pablo, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
The 41-year-old resident Joseph Claro sustained stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Tagged suspect was his colleague Noel Garcia, 31, of Barangay 14, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
According to police investigators, a heated argument ensued between Claro and Garcia while they were working around 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 24.
This prompted Garcia to stab Claro using a bladed weapon, the investigators added.
Claro was brought to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental where the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
Officers of the Manapla municipal police station have yet to arrest the suspect, who fled after the incident./PN
