BACOLOD City – A 78-year-old woman died while her husband was wounded in a hacking incident in Barangay Hilub-ang, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Librada and Lorenzo Suelto, residents of the town’s Barangay Hinab-ongan, were walking at a cornfield around 4 p.m. on July 17 when attacked, investigation revealed.
The suspects, Reno Biatinggo, 24, and Celfred Duga-Duga, 28, were also residents of Barangay Hinab-ongan. They were detained in the lockup facility of the Calatrava police station.
Police have yet to ascertain the motive in the hacking./PN
