BACOLOD City – A man was found dead of an apparent suicide around 4 p.m. on Monday in Sitio Paraiso, Barangay Refugio, Calatrava town.
Police Chief Inspector Robert Dejucos, Calatrava police head identified the victim as Danilo Villarin Anonoy, 55, resident.
The victim’s sister Betty Giganto found the victim hanging from his bedroom’s ceiling with a noose around his neck at around 4 a.m.
She disclosed that the victim also attempted to commit suicide two months ago by drinking chlorine substance, but was saved as he was brought to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Since the first attempt she saw her brother become listless.
The family rushed Anonoy to the Calatrava District Hospital but was declared DOA (dead-on-arrival) by the attending physician./PN
