Calinog teachers’ cash incentive not released? DepEd forms probe team

ILOILO – Teachers of Malitbog National High School in Barangay Malitbog Centro, Calinog town complained of not having received their Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) last month.

The Department of Education (DepED)-Iloilo Schools Division formed a team to conduct an investigation.

The team is made up of, among others, the Assistant Schools Superintendent in-charge of the 3rd District where Calinog belongs, the School Governance and Operation Division chief, legal officer, accountant and budget officer of the Schools Division, among others.

“Tuyo naton ma-correct kon may practices nga indi aligned sa DepEd policies,” said Leonil Salvilla, information officer of the Schools Division of Iloilo.

Teachers deserve their PEIs “kay ti ginpangabudlayan man ina nila,” Salvilla added.

The principal of Malitbog National High School is Teresa Campaniel. She could not be reached for comment as this was being written.

“Kon matapos na ang investigation, that’s the time we can give details sang action nga himuon or ginhimu sang Division,” said Salvilla.

Salvilla added that Campaniel has been temporarily reassigned by Dr. Roel Bermejo, DepEd-Iloilo Schools Division superintendent, to the Division office while the probe is ongoing./PN
