ILOILO City – A call center agent was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tanza Baybay, City Proper at around 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26.
Suspect Herna Mae Abrido was a 30-year-old married resident of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.
Officers of the Iloilo City Police Station 1 – Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) led by station commander, Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, arrested Abrido after the latter handed over to a police poseur buyer a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu for P4,500.
Police recovered an estimated 0.49 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P8,000 to P10,000.
Also confiscated were a digital weighing scale, an improvised tooter tube, two disposable lighters, a pair of scissors, rolled aluminum foil, and a barbecue stick.
Abrido was taken to the Iloilo City Police Station 1. She would be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
