ILOILO City – A Canadian citizen was arrested for grave threats and serious slander in Barangay Espinosa, Jordan, Guimaras.
The 74-year-old Joao Barros was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, a police report showed.
Barros was detained in the lockup cell of the Jordan municipal police station.
The court recommended a total bail bond of P6,000 for his temporary liberty./PN
