CAPIZ – This province will soon have its own cancer treatment facility. The provincial government on Tuesday, July 30, turned over its counterpart budget to its partners for the construction of the facility.
Gov. Fredenil Castro turned over the P1,600,000 budget to the Capiz Lions Club, Capiz Lioness Lions Club, and representatives of the Lions Club International Foundation.
Castro said they are eyeing to construct the facility inside the compound of the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital Out-Patient Department in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City for it to be accessible to all Capisnons.
“Sa tion nga mangin operational, ini ang first cancer treatment facility within sa province of Capiz rason nga daku ini nga bulig sa mga Capisnon nga nagamasakit sang cancer bangod nga indi na sila kinahanglan nga magkadto even in Iloilo City para magpabulong sang ila masakit,” the governor said.
This cancer treatment facility is also part of the efforts of Gov. Castro to further elevate healthcare in the province./PN
