ILOILO – To secure the vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) while being delivered to 43 local government units (LGUs) here, the provincial government procured a P2.2-million refrigerated van.

Ini para mapasiguro nga ang mga bakuna malab-ot sa aton nga mga LGUs at the right time and at the right temperature. Mas masiguro pa gid naton nga potent ang vaccine nga maglab-ot sa aton sentro kag mangin safe nga i-inject sa aton mga kautoran,” said Dr. Ma. Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, acting head of the Provincial Health Office.

The van will transport the vaccines from the province’s cold storage facility at the Iloilo Sports Complex in La Paz, Iloilo City to the towns here as well as Passi City.

It has a temperature of negative 25 degrees Celsius.

The refrigerated van is currently on standby ion the capitol grounds. It will be used when the next batches of vaccines arrive in this province./PN
