ILOILO City – The lifeless body of a 54-year-old Iloilo Provincial Capitol employee was discovered at his boardinghouse in Barangay San Agustin, City Proper on Tuesday night.
Rolando Santacera, originally from San Joaquin, Iloilo, had reportedly been dealing with an undisclosed underlying health condition.
His absence from work for two consecutive days and the inability to reach him via his cellphone had raised concerns among his landlord and family.
While preliminary findings suggest natural causes as the likely cause of death, an ongoing investigation is underway to establish the precise circumstances surrounding Santacera’s passing, said Police Captain Roque Gimeno III, the chief of Iloilo City Police Station 1./PN
